vingt-quatre

We deserved to win this game.

The Lakers played well. They improved. And if we kept it together for 2 more minutes, we definitely would have won. So I guess Thunder fans can say because we couldn’t close the game well, the Lakers didn’t deserve to win the game. But whatever.

Since we were already in that situation, slowly losing the lead with 2 minutes left, there’s a lot to blame. Kobe missed two shots in the last few seconds. And Steve Blake missed the last shot.

So I guess you can put the whole blame on both of them. Because Kobe missed TWO in a row. And Blake missed the last. But you can also blame the Thunder’s defense in the last possession, because they shut Kobe down. (Darryl made me realize that) Metta had to give it to Blake. Blake was wide open. It was a corner three, which he is known to make. So yes, he should have hit that shot.

Laker fans, just be grateful we improved. And we looked like we could’ve won. It’s tough, I know. I’m still fucking depressed over it. But keep it classy.

Laker haters, shut the fuck up. We played well. And we WILL be back next game.

We will be.
Kobe Bryant, “are you ready for OKC?”
Of course.
Kobe Bryant, answering the question “you still think this is a championship team?”
Look at Kobe, he’s smiling. This is his element right here.

fuckyeahlakers:

“In the third quarter I hit Sessions for an open shot , Blake for an open shot, Matt Barnes for an open shot … pretty much on successive possessions. And they missed all three of them. And uh, I think George (Karl) being as observant as he is, saw I was pissed and didn’t think I was going to trust them at the end of the game to knock down those shots. But you know, they stepped up and knocked them down.”

“THE IRON LEG”

Dirk Nowitzki showed the world his step back jumper.  Kobe Bryant watched Dirk win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.  Now, Kobe shoots Dirk’s step back jumper.

Some people might slight Bryant for so clearly jacking “The Iron Leg.”  Not me.  I think it’s incredible.  And awesome.

Dirk created the best post-Olajuwon post move in basketball, Kobe understood it’s value, and put it in his game.  That’s why he’s great — anything to get better.  Last night, Bryant used it in the Playoffs.

You know, “imitation is the highest form of flattery,” but before you go thinking Kobe’s gone all mushy with the compliments…

“I improved his move.  I can shoot mine from the three-point line.  He can’t do that… Dirk does it well, I do it better.  Mine’s a little sexier.”

Right now, I have the opportunity to compete again. Last year, I felt like I was on one leg. I couldn’t give Phil all of me, and I couldn’t give it to my teammates either. But now, it’s like, ‘Let’s see. I’m here. I’m 100 percent. I want to see what’s what.’

Kobe Bryant Explains Where He Gets His Moves From!

:’)

The scoring title is not that important. We know I can do it. We know I can go out and score 38 points. The most important thing is sending the right message to the group, which is putting a championship above all else. That means rest. That means letting other guys play. That means us getting ready for Sunday (for the playoff opener).
